I stumbled onto a peculiar album whilst searching for more of my beloved Gallowbraid. Like the veins of a mighty tree, I followed the roots until it lead me to a compilation album with single tracks from various artists. Two my dismay, Agalloch and Gallowbraid sat next to one another, as if waiting for me to find them, wanderers in a forest with others in their respective genre and soundscape. However, this journey also gave me a growling track by the artist called Wandar. They hail from Germany but are no strangers to the mystic expanse that the previous two dwell upon, tree dwelling furies haunting the old places, the natural ones, the mountains on high. And so, I give them their due respect, churning up a track that has kept me in its grasp for a few weeks now. Behold, Waldganger!
