As of late, there have been several improvements in my overall life (which I believe is what we all strive for really). Granted, there are still some set backs or areas to work on yet the majority is well, even grand, dare I might say. My writing technique, skill, and style is making much progress but I shall not let it go stale. Now, more than ever, I need to focus on my abilities, hone my form and ideas. As such, I am making progress on beginning/developing my first actually novel. This will take a great deal of time, even if I give it plenty of attention. This is because I have painfully learned not to rush a story (they are lackluster and terrible when I have done so) meaning that I have to pace myself all the while pushing to work. It reminds me a lot of the gym actually, the everyday battle that yields gifts and strength over a gruelling timespan that demands tribute and sacrifice.
Now, don't be worried, I still have other additions that are brewing for the series at hand. DC Universe always has new thoughts whirling in my head, Deathwatch as well. I am invested in these characters and concepts and know that they require equal attention, even if they are not my original creations or worlds I feel motivated to continue dabbling in those chosen realms. Dark Conspiracies needs a slight overhaul, the last story leaving me in a bind that I don't have the drive or attention to continue. Although, those will stil exist later on but I feel that the transition and tone is wrong, off. New stories and series may be in the works as well but I am still pondering and investigating those routes, feeling out the roots and stems to see if they have room to grow.
The plan is to devote more time to writing and creating. My new found alone time allows me to explore odd and strange inspirations and ideas (as weird and queer as that sounds I assure you it is completely for the science of the story).
For your amusement (or a reason for you never to visit my site again) envision me sitting around, covered in strange markings, sigils, runes, talking to myself, mirrors, and spirits.
Erecting an altar to some macabre deity that no one knew existed.
Wearing fatigues and a gas mask and creeping around the room in a tactical fashion.
Sitting around wondering how to remove a face and how much skin it actually yields.
YES! I DO SIT AROUND AND THINK OF THIS STUFF! So that you might feel a tad more normal or sane (or that you are not alone in some weird pursuit or scheme). This is the powerfully terrifying mind of a writer (a word I do not call myself often or lightly) all in the search of answers to questions no one should ask or that nobody wanted to know. On that wild note, I bid you adieu. I have much work to do...like tattooing myself with sharpies in a language unknown to the human race....or trying to invent extinct, horrifying creatures that once roamed our planet....or....
